Our Sheldon Fire Department’s new ISO Rating is 7.

Fire department ISO ratings are a determination of how well our department is prepared to fight a fire – the lower the rating, the better.  Our community ISO has improved 3 points (from 10 to a 7). You may wish to check with your insurance company on how this may reduce your premium.  Without contacting your insurance, some premiums may still see a small reduction at renewal time.  Some insurance companies use the ISO rating to determine premiums, while others use many different methods, such as distance to a fire department.

Either way, we can rest easier knowing our fire department is better prepared to meet our community needs!

Services

The Recycling Center is located on Broken Arrow Road East of Highway 27. Check the Rusk County website for items we take.

Center is open the first and third Saturdays from 8:00 am until 12:00 noon. Center is no longer open the fifth Saturday of the month.

Please be advised that the Willard Waste site for brush is open the first and third Saturdays from 8 to noon. We had to lock it up as there were many nonresidents using it for their yard waste and garbage. Sorry for the inconvenience to our residents. If you have questions or concerns, please call one of the board members.

The Recycling Center is no longer issuing prepaid cards.  Cards purchased before December 18, 2021 will be honored until the remaining balance is depleted.

Effective April 1, 2022

There will no longer be a flat rate for pickup loads.
Prices will be $2 each for kitchen (white) bags.
$4 each for lawn and leaf and contractor bags.
Prices double if you are not a Town of Willard resident.
Additional fees may apply for televisions, white goods (appliances, water heaters, etc.) Those fees may be estimated onsite or billed by mail.

♦ Residents may rent the Willard Town Hall for specific events for a small fee. If interested, please contact the Town Clerk.
